Welcome back to The Latest - today’s blog is here to give you wedding inspiration based on an editorial we worked on.

We take our use of colour seriously - but we also wanted to create a beautiful white editorial to display exactly how a modern white wedding should look!

The Venue

Findon Place is a beautiful privately owned home in Sussex, that couples can take over for a whole weekend with their guests. It’s rare to have a beautiful home, with a pool and land to use as well! Most stately homes in the UK have quite garish interior colour schemes, but Findon has been restored beautifully that will naturally complement most colour palettes.

The colour palette

We went for white on white! We wanted modern elegance - white has been prominent in weddings for decades, but we wanted to bring a fresh spin on how to use an overused colour.

We leant into using different textures and organic shapes, and removing green foliage which is so commonly used with white. With a heavy floral design including roses, honesty, ranunculus & delphiniums, the floral arrangements became architectural and perfect for this editorial.

The dresses

Emma Beaumont and Miller White were selected for this editorial, to use lots of different materials and textures whilst fitting the concept and venue. From hand stitched pearls to lace to organic cotton, each dress gives an elegant feel yet modern. The dresses were paired with veils & accessories from Botias Accessories - we love this bow veil (and yep, we shot this before Ariana Grande’s wedding!)

The cake

This editorial was all about the cake! Vaani at Sugar Plum Bakes creates such beautiful artwork with her buttercream cakes, together with organic wafers and flowers. She used complementary shades and tones of buttercream in some of her cakes, with the main cake a beautifully smooth buttercream. We infused a modern Marie Antoinette feel, embracing the relaxing side of weddings - which is always where champagne & cake are served!
